Birch Wood Cutlery
Bamblu's disposable wooden cutlery are 100% natural and 100% compostable. They are very sturdy and do not easily split or splinter. They are perfect for hot or cold food. The wood is smooth and comfortable in your hand and they are about 6-1/2 inches long. They are available in packs of 100 pieces or in cases of 1,000 pieces (10 packs of 100 pieces.)
These disposable dinner utensils are accepted at composting facilities because they are composed of completely organic material: birch wood and nothing else. Only hot water is used to soften, form and sterilize the cutlery. There are no coatings of any kind and this process does not use any chemicals which would slow down the decomposing process as well as pollute our soil, streams, lakes and oceans.
Bamblu's disposable wooden cutlery are made from renewable resources of FSC®-certified birch wood. The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) recognizes and certifies that wood is taken only from birch plantation forests that are harvested sustainably. These forests were planted for harvesting. The amount allowed to be harvested is no more than what can grow back in the same amount of time it took the harvested trees to grow. Therefore, the trees are re-planted immediately with the purpose of harvesting them again.
Bamblu's Green Party Cutlery are biodegradable and 100% compostable wooden utensils. Just as trees naturally decompose, so do our compostable wooden forks, spoons, knives and tasterspoons. The amount of time mostly depends on where and how they are disposed. With ideal conditions our wood cutlery could completely decompose in about 80 days. When conditions are drier than ideal, it would take much longer. We encourage you to home compost. Just remember that many pieces of wood cutlery is like adding many small branches to a small compost pile. We recommend mixing your compostable wood cutlery with your regular compost material in a larger compost area for best results.
